Piano Lessons in Point Loma

Noah offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 8 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree, and has a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Noah has been teaching piano lessons since 2019. In his career, this piano teacher has performed extensively at Colombia University, showcasing a diverse repertoire. Noah has performed both as a solo pianist as well as a chamber musician, including collaborations with notable musicians. He specializes in classical music, but is versed in jazz and pop music as well. He is a student of the Taubman approach to piano technique, which consists of a set of movement principles designed to facilitate healthy, tension-free playing, and to provide tangible solutions to tricky passages in piano repertoire. The Taubman approach to piano enables the student to diagnose problems in their playing, and involves explicit instruction and deliberate practice, as opposed to vague directives and mindless repetition. As an educator, he employs a holistic approach to piano teaching, which entails not only the skills related to playing the piano, but includes crucial elements of musicianship such as music theory, ear training, and composition. Noah develops individual tailored piano lesson plans and curricula to best fit his students’ needs and musical aspirations.
