Piano Lessons in Spring Hill

My name is Pam Irwin. I am freelance music teacher and also perform for weddings and special events. I have taught lessons privately and at several music stores. I teach piano, flute and harp. I primarily use the Faber series for piano and can teach up to Level 5 and also the first year of Intermediate level using the Bastien series. I use online games whenever possible (especially for younger students). I also add extra repertoire in other methods when it can aid the student. I am always interested in student preferences in music and add it to the lesson whenever possible. For note reading, I recommend Andrea Dow's note reading exercise books. I currently teach students from age 6 to 18 and also enjoy teaching adults. I currently teach online for Outschool but am looking to expand my studio on Tuesdays and Friday afternoons. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in music performance and have classroom music for 15 years. I will work with you with you on your musical goals and will make sure that all of the basics are covered - note writing, note reading, performance, technique, theory and musicianship. I can also work with you to reach specific musical goals like solo and ensemble competitions, talent shows and competitions.
