Piano Lessons in Mills River

Hello, parents! I am a recently retired public school music teacher in the Asheville, NC area. I have just decided it's time for me to go back to teaching piano lessons privately for students aged 4 - 12. I am limited to remote learning only at this time, but if you are interested in enrolling your child for my on-line piano lessons, here is exactly what you can expect from me:

1. I am an honest and kind person. I will treat parents and students fairly, professionally and with respect at all times.

2. I have extensive knowledge and experience with teaching children of diverse backgrounds and cultures. I strive to meet each student exactly where they are developmentally and will guide your child with easy-to-follow instructions.

3. I provide a schedule for lessons and practicing that is reasonable and tailored to the needs of each student. My suggestion for your child is 30 minute lessons, once per week for $30 OR 45 minute lessons for $45 (also once per week).

4. I enjoy teaching! I will provide a positive interactive experience for your child that includes music technique, ear training and music theory. I also love teaching through games and offering rewards for children who enjoy this type of learning environment.

5. I am a great teacher at a great price. I don't need to work - I choose to!

6. I am prompt, reliable and I will always be prepared for your child's lesson.

7. You will need to have access to a piano or keyboard for your child's lessons and practicing. You will also be required to obtain a set of lesson books. I prefer the Bastien Piano series for beginners. In your first lesson, I will show you what to purchase.
