Hello! I'm McKinley Hudson, a passionate music educator and composer with a Bachelor's in Music Composition and over a decade of experience teaching, performing, and creating music. Since earning my degree in 2014, I've been dedicated to helping students of all ages discover the joy of making music and experience that "Eureka" moment when a new concept clicks.

I specialize in teaching Piano, Guitar, Voice, and Music Production. Whether you're a complete beginner just starting your musical journey or an experienced musician looking to refine your skills, I tailor every lesson to your goals, learning style, and favorite music. What sets my teaching apart is my deep foundation in music theory and practical application. Of course, we'll learn notation, but beyond that, I'll show you how music really works so you can create, improvise, and perform with confidence.

I love transcribing songs my students choose (especially the non-mainstream ones!), preparing you for recitals and live performances, and making lessons fun, engaging, and relevant to the music you actually love. Sure, Mozart is cool, but you can learn a ton from Dua Lipa, Tupac, Bring Me the Horizon, and plenty of other modern masters.

My students have ranged from young children to adults, and I've successfully taught in-person, hybrid, and fully remote settings. Many of my students perform confidently at recitals, school events, and even live shows. I also bring real-world experience from working with YouTube Music data, composing for musical theater, and leading group classes and camps.
