Piano Lessons in West Babylon

Hi, my name is John Paul Louis. I’m a singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist producer and music teacher. I have been playing the piano and the trumpet for roughly 15 years and I have played the guitar for roughly 12 years. I perform all throughout the Long Island and New York City area. I specifically play at Mimi‘s Italian restaurant which is a piano bar in Manhattan and I play Bella Vie every Friday from 6 to 9. I think what makes my lessons unique is that I have a ton of experience performing and I also have experience composing for musicals. I bring that level of creativity to my lessons so things are not just strictly done by the book. I think this helps cater to a diverse group of students because everyone learns differently and everyone is interested in different things. So for example, I can teach someone how to play a Chopin prelude but then I can teach someone how to play an Elton John song because I play so many different styles and I don’t really see any sort of boundaries between music. I kind of see it is almost like one thing everything in a sense is interconnected. I try to be as empathetic as possible when teaching and meet them where they’re at. I also try to get them to improve as much as they can and try inspire them to continue doing music regardless of whether or not it’s done professionally or as a hobby. Music enriches peoples lives and helps connect people together and I hope to try to show my students through my lessons.
