Hello, my name is Rena. I am a highly experienced piano instructor with over 30 years of professional teaching experience.

I specialize in classical piano training with a strong emphasis on technical precision, musical expression, and a deep understanding of music. My teaching is rooted in a structured, European-style approach, where students develop not only performance skills but also a comprehensive musical foundation.

In addition to piano, I provide in-depth instruction in music theory, harmony, music literature, sight-reading, and ear training. My students are also trained in musical dictation, two-part (polyphonic) performance, and basic conducting—skills that are essential for serious musical development.

Each lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student. I work with both beginners and advanced students, guiding them from fundamental techniques to refined, expressive performance. I place strong emphasis on discipline, consistency, and artistic growth.

As a member of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC), I prepare students for the Certificate of Merit program and other state evaluations. Many of my students achieve high results and become eligible for competitive scholarships.

My goal is to cultivate not only skilled pianists, but well-rounded musicians with confidence, discipline, and a lasting appreciation for classical music. I maintain a focused yet supportive environment where students are motivated to achieve their highest potential.
