Piano Lessons in Wilmington

I’m Cully, a pianist and instructor with over 12 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. My journey with music began in an unconventional way — completely self-taught, with an old keyboard, a marker, and a determination to learn. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion, and within just a few months I was already accompanying my high school choir performances. I share this story so you can see how with the right determination you can start piano at any age.

That passion continued to grow through college, where I worked as an accompanist for the music department and developed a deeper understanding of music not only as a skill, but as a form of collaboration, creativity, and expression. Over the years, I’ve learned that music is about far more than simply playing the right notes — it’s about building confidence, discipline, imagination, and connection.

My lessons are designed to meet each student where they are, whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to piano after years away, or looking to grow as a musician. I believe learning music should feel inspiring, rewarding, and personal. Every student has their own goals, learning style, and creative voice, and I strive to create an environment where those qualities can thrive.
