Learn Piano with Rini Zhang
“I specialize in Classical Piano Performance, Beginner Intermediate Advance Piano Instruction, and Music Theory”
About Me
Hello! My name is Rini Zhang(also goes by Hina Zhang)and I am a professional pianist, vocalist, erhu performer, and music educator with over 8 years of teaching experience.
I received my formal classical music training through programs affiliated with the Central Conservatory of Music at a young age and later earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. I also completed graduate studies at New York University.
Throughout my career, I have taught students ranging from 3 years old to 87 years old, helping each student develop strong musical foundations, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of my students.
In addition to teaching, I am an active international performer. My public performances include piano, vocal, and traditional Chinese erhu performances at concert halls, cultural events, and international stages. Because I actively perform, I am able to share real-world musical experiences with my students and help them develop not only technique, but also stage confidence and musical expression.
One of my greatest strengths as an educator is communication. I am fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese, which allows me to work effectively with students and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Parents appreciate being able to communicate comfortably in their preferred language and stay involved in their child’s musical progress.
My teaching specialties include classical piano, music theory, sight reading, ear training, performance preparation, beginner through advanced piano instruction, and musical development for students of all ages.
I am currently teaching piano, voice, and erhu, and I am passionate about helping every student reach their full potential while making music enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding.
