Piano Lessons in Provo

Hi there! I'm Heather Cutler, adjunct professor of jazz at Brigham Young University who operates my own private studio and loves to perform on both piano, harp, and voice. I have been playing jazz piano for about 15 years now, and spent 5 years at BYU recording and touring with their premier jazz ensemble, Synthesis. I began teaching piano at age 14, and now at 24 have helped students of all ages achieve their goals of becoming more complete musicians that can play whatever genre, in whatever context they dream of. I find that in classical piano instruction there are often holes left in one's musical ability such as ear training, a thorough understanding of harmony, and how to compose and improvise music in an accessible fashion, and I aim to incorporate these in my lessons with some emphasis on jazz as well. I find all of these skills promote a lifetime of musical involvement in individuals. It is my aim in lessons to help students achieve well-rounded musicianship, and I'd love to help you achieve this!
